As medical social worker I strive to work with patients and families to best serve patients during what can be a significant life transition. Most importantly I work with my team to assist patients returning home or transitioning into a new care home to create a safe and healthy environment that is patient centered. Visiting patients daily includes conducting an assessment to help determine patient needs and identify patient strengths, limitations, and barriers that might help improve or impede recovery, educate patients and families regarding community resources and support, and assist with long range planning, including advance care planning and directives, hospice education and overall care opportunities.

I have combined my knowledge of yoga with grief work to offer a unique yoga class specific to those who have recently experienced loss, major life transitions, illness, and trauma. I offer group classes as well as private coaching sessions for those interested in healing through a holistic approach to wellness.
