My research and design practice takes a systems, biopsychosocial and equity approach to behaviour change. That means changing the environment, not the person. The last decade I've worked on a diverse range of behaviour change projects with Government, NGO's and groups who seek to make things better for people and planet using participatory approaches. This has involved multi-level initiatives including COM-B training and the co-creation of nudges to support folks follow through from knowing to doing, along with de-biasing strategies to nudge systems to work better for people. My Masters in Design for Social Innovation (MDI) portfolio explores the role of compassion science to prevent harm & promote wellbeing in design processes. As a neurodivergent person, work that brings me joy includes:* design research and analysis using behavioural models, e.g COM-B* talking to folks to understand what matters to them* systems mapping to see where & how they can be nudged to work better for people * experiments * building behavioural design capability Things I’m proud of include co-founding a digital wellbeing social enterprise, wellbeing program co-design, co-creating a behavioural strategy card deck, inclusion & allyship workshop design and experiments that have challenged some big assumptions.
