I oversee the whole of the transport department for Supportive, which provides a Volunteer Driver Service with 140+ volunteers and a Non-Emergency Ambulance Patient Transport Service, with a fleet of 13 vehicles and 30+ staff.We provide volunteer driver services to the Local Authorities & Clinical Commissioning Groups. Our drivers are trained in safeguarding, data protection and go through a robust recruitment process, ensuring they have satisfactory references & are Enhance DBS checked.Our Patient Transport Service is registered with CQC and we have a variety of vehicles in order to accommodate patients with all levels of mobility. Our vehicles are driven by highly trained & experienced staff. They undergo a vigorous training programme and a full driving assessment before transporting patients. I have held the Registered Managers post since February 2020.

We are looking to provide an outstanding non-emergency patient transport service to hospitals and other care providers, making us one of the best. I worked on Ambulance control, taking bookings, dispatching relevant trained crews, logistically in order to save the company time & money, ensuring we were providing the quickest and safest transport for hospitals around the North East.

I started here as an apprentice and gradually worked my way up to the point of not being able to go any further in the company. The only other position I would have been able to fulfil would have been that of a Dealership Accountant, which were filled by long standing members of staff. I took this as an opportunity to move in to another area of transport.
