Design Overview: I started my design career by working in the marketing and publishing industry. I joined companies named, Media in Africa & Magnetic Creative (Previously known as Jam Factory). I managed to elevate my career to the position of Senior Graphic Designer. As a designer, I have designed material for the financial, corporate, medical, & entertainment industries - just to name a few. I have not just designed material for events but also attended & assisted at some public events. Designing the last printed copy of Intiem Magazine and seeing it on the shelves was a great achievement.Front Desk Receptionist Overview: I was trained into new territory and challenged myself to learn fast.Some of my responsibilities included: Receiving calls from existing and new patients, Oversee reservations for Doctor’s appointments, Administration (IOD’s / Road Accident Fund), Receiving clients and directing patients to Doctor’s rooms, Overall appearance of reception area, Patient relations, Medical aid verifications, Co-ordinating theatre bookings, Medical terminology, billing, and coding, Claims filing, Administration of financial transactions, Physician support. Personal Assistant Overview: Personal assistance in private matters such as urgent e-mails for medical meetings for Doctors, Personal assistance in “on call duty” dates. Typing letters for the doctor. Filing of corporate documentation, Assisting with annual calendar planning, Submission of corporate documentation, Booking of flights and rental vehicles when required. Informed about new medical products. Make bookings with reps. Maintaining confidentiality. Order stationery. Overview: The reason for leaving the receptionist position was because of relocation. I decided to freelance as a designer/receptionist. My passion is to work with people and to be involved in businesses.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Pretoria Area, South Africa

In January 2018 I pursued a position in the medical industry as a Receptionist / PA. I was appointed as the Medical Receptionist and Personal Assistant for an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Mediclinic Kloof. This allowed me to develop more communication and administration skills. During 2018 I managed to continue to do freelance work for Media in Africa.

I drive 360 degree graphic design, layout and production needs of the magazine Floors in Africa and INTIEM. I am also responsible for achieving the corporate look, creative conceptual designs, maintenance and follow-through function for Media in Africa.

I started as a junior graphic designer and build relationships with the company for 3 and a half years. I am proud to say that this is where I made a lot of decisions on my own and developed strong communication and design skills. I was challenged to learn fast and do a lot of marketing research.
