I have worked in the field of mental health for over 17 years with experience in older adults mental health, brian injury, psychiatric intensive care and adult acute and recovery.I have had extensive experience of working with patients using psychologically informed practice and skilsl particularly with psychosis and emotionally unstable personality disorder.From working as a clinical team leader, I have developed leadership and management skills such as dealing with difficult situations, supervising, appraising and mentoring staff and feeding this back to higher level managers and engaging in audits.For the last two years, I have worked in research for the mental health research network recruiting service users into national portfolio research studies. During this time, I have also gained experience in research governance and management.My current role of research facilitator involves supporting staff within the trust with their own research projects al all levels and signposting them to other agencies that could help with their projects. I also act up for the research manager in their absence.I also work at a practice tutor for the Open University for pre registration nursing students and also am an associate lecturer on research methods with children and young people.
