Responsible for the implementation, evaluation, and monitoring of the Utah Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) Act. Developing standards for crisis services, coordination with suicide prevention and crisis line efforts, evaluation of effectiveness, provide technical assistance, and monitoring of comprehensive mental crisis/MCOT services throughout the state. Provide oversight to the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) state contract for law enforcement, mental health, and advocacy. Chair of the Mental Health Crisis Response Summit of Utah planning committee.

Provide oversight and monitoring of adult mental health in the State of Utah. Educate, support, and promote implementation of mental health and physical health integration, prevention and early intervention, and recovery. Provide oversight to statewide specialty contracts including Crisis Intervention Team Program (CIT), First Episode Psychosis Program, Designated Examiner Training, and state liaison to the Utah Behavioral Health Planning and Advisory Council.

Worked collaboratively with community partners, including first responders to successfully implement mobile crisis outreach in Salt Lake County. Provided crisis assessment and intervention and implemented most current evidence based practice in suicide crisis response techniques for Salt Lake County residents. Worked full time as a clinician on the mobile crisis outreach team in 2012 and continued part time until 2018.

I served as residential supervisor, crisis supervisor and hospital liaison respectively in the 8 years I worked for Valley Mental Health providing assessment, and quality mental health services to individuals with severe mental illness in a residential crisis facility. I served as a regional coordinator for Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Program for Salt Lake County, including teaching suicide intervention in CIT Academies. Collaborated with community partners on treatment interventions, and discharge planning from area hospitals and outpatient providers.
