In 2012 my business partner and I developed an innovative concept called Trash to Treasure. It is the first concierge-style marketplace for second hand fashion in the Netherlands. By combining our online platform with offline pop-up stores and local events we created a successful business model.Trash to Treasure organized more than 10 events with up to 500 attendees, owned three pop-up stores during the past two years and started a blog in 2014. The community consists of more than 300 sellers, 5000 followers and 40.000 users. USP: In 2012 Trash to Treasure created a new and unique shopping experience for customers. Customers could shop by wardrobe and style instead of shopping by category. Furthermore all products have a personal message attached by the former owner, hereby creating added value and trust in the buying experience.
