I graduated from Mount Royal University in 2008 with a Broadcast Communications Diploma, with honours in Broadcast Journalism. For 15 years I worked consistently in the radio industry in both Canada and the UK. In 2017, I decided to further my education and obtained a Digital Marketing Diploma. I have a varied and extensive background in media, including 12 years experience as a radio announcer and journalist, three years of radio marketing/promotions experience, and one year as a producer and programming assistant. I have also spent much of my career administrating and managing various social media platforms. Over the years, I have written countless news stories and articles, with a focus on accuracy and fairness. I take great pride in my ability to write engaging copy. For many years I specialized in crime and court reporting, one of the most challenging beats. Eventually, I developed a passion for telling positive, community stories. I have also helped to plan, organize, and execute many promotions and events and have been entrusted to create content for some of the largest media companies in Canada. I am always on the lookout for opportunities to grow as a broadcaster, journalist, and communicator and add to my ever-growing skill set.
