About Leanne Macdonald
I completed my BA (Hons) International Business Management in 2020 where I grew an interest in Digital Marketing during my year internship at RCL Cruises where I spent some time jumping into the deep end of the real-life marketing world - and I love it! In order to further my skills within the marketing world I returned to RGU and completed my MSc Digital Marketing degree in 2021. Upon completion of this degree I went on to work at Acair undertaking the role of Digital Marketing Graduate. Here I learned invaluable skills and have been able to further my knowledge and understanding of Marketing as well as new softwares and platforms. Some of these skills include Social Media Marketing, SEO, Website Management, Analysis and Reporting, Email Marketing, Content Creation, PR, Events Planning and Organising and some more. Following my year completion, I spent a short time doing some Freelance Social Media work as Isle Market It. I now work at the Isle of Harris Distillery undertaking the role of Digital Storyteller. I manage our social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn and TikTok. The role involves communication with various aspects of the business including our global markets, stockists and ensuring we get our Social Distillery story out to the world from the little corner of the globe that we work from.
