Recruiting consists of going to different career fairs and events to talk to people about positions here, building connections with different colleges and universities around the area, using different online sites for searching for new applicants, being the first contact to each new applicant, conducting first interviews for 3 of our programs, and conducting some of the orientations.In scheduling, I am in charge of 3 different programs. There are about 100 employees that I schedule for and about 100 clients that I do the scheduling for within the programs. Some staff only work in one program and some work in all 3 programs. It has really taught me more problem solving techniques and has a lot of organization and coordinating involved.For retention, I am in charge of employee parties, working with the managers of the programs to make sure their employees feel appreciated, and celebrating mile stones for the different employees. I also fill in the Community Living Supports manager roles when needed which can include answering questions from client homes, checking client authorizations versus utilization, talking to staff about how to do paperwork, and pairing staff with clients. This job has strengthen my ability to prioritize, patience levels, time management, teaching skill, knowledge of different Human Resource programs, and adaptability to different situations that may arrive. with having a very diverse work environment, it has taught me how to work with many different abilities, personalities, and cultures. -
