Responsible for leading a team of multi-disciplined human resource professionals in the delivery of human resources services including education and training, recruitment, payroll and staff rostering to a workforce of approximately 950 staff across Queensland.

In this role I was responsible for providing high level human resource support and advice to the business as well as supervising a team of human resource professionals to ensure the day to day operations of the People and Culture department met and exceeded the needs of our customers. The additional focus of this role was on developing strategies to address workforce issues associated with an ageing workforce, attracting and retaining skilled workers, skill deficits within the current workforce, and poor leadership skills at the middle management level.

In this role I provided comprehensive, high quality operational Human Resources advice and support to the business. I was responsible the management of the payroll and rostering functions, performing end to end recruitment, the delivery and administration of corporate training programs, advising on a range of employee relations matters, remuneration reviews, and assisting with a range of industrial matters including enterprise bargaining.
