Hi, my name is Leanne I am 37 and a young single mum of two amazing children who both have SEND Autism, ADHD and complex mental health issues. This channel is called Guided Growth because this is what I am passionate about guiding those who have mental health and SEND using an holistic person centred approach. A holistic approach means to provide support that looks at the whole person, not just their mental health needs. The support should also consider their physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.Each person will have a different experience of mental illness and a path to recovery that is influenced by their age, gender, culture, heritage, language, faith, sexual and gender identity, relationship status, life experience and beliefs.All of what I provide is from not only my own personal experiences and things I have learnt and used but also from a professional background. I want to help everyone learn how to acknowledge, accept and understand what is going on and have the opportunity to learn and have support to help them to live their best lives. As well as my children having SEND and mental health I also have undiagnosed Autism and ADHD as well as psychosis, and EUPD ( Emotional Unstable Personality Disorder). PTSD, Depression & Anxiety. But I also had over 10+ years working in the mental health sector helping our service users to gain independence to go on to live a wonderful life. I realised through my own experiences and working in that field how there is little to no support from the perspective of those who needed it the most so I wanted to be the one to change that. I wanted to bring something that everyone could use as a safe space where they can get fully understood straight talk support, guidance, information and connections with others who are going through the same.
