First time offenders are referred to me where with one other panel member, we decide together with the young offender and victim on what reparation work would benefit him/her to help repair the harm as well as reintegrating them back into the community.

Talked to victims affected by crime via telephone calls as well as home visits giving them someone to talk to in confidence, giving them advice by signposting them to relevant organisations who could assist them further. This would be done on a weekly basis but if the victim needed more support more contact was be arranged. I liaised with the police and PCSOs to find out details of each case to enable me to guide and inform the victim fully with any queries they had.
