Working with franchise partners to gain local trading insight, communicating this to all Arcadia brands and recommending actions to potentialise sales or mitigate risk.

Business placement with a small start-up company selling customisable accessories on a wholesale basis. Assisted in many areas including processing orders, compiling marketing materials and attending roadshows to promote the range. This position gave me a different view on the retail industry having previously worked in much larger, corporate environments and helped me get hands-on experience in wider business functions, such as Marketing, Logistics and Sales. Offered a paid summer position following the completion of the semester, although unable to accept due to visa restrictions.

Also worked closely with the Logistics function to ensure pick deadlines and volumes were being met to ensure operational efficiency.

Worked across several locations in London and the South East throughout my time at college & university, including a period as Concession Manager for Lloyds Shoes in between courses. I completed the Top Level Sales Assistant training, as well as taking on additional responsibility for scheduling, visual merchandising and cashing up. This was my first insight into the retail industry as a career option and inspired me to select Fashion Merchandising as my degree.
