I grew up in Pingelly and Narrogin in regional Western Australia, before moving to Perth to undertake a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University. At the completion of my degree, the yearning to return to the country was too great and I took a role as a graduate accountant with Byfields in 1998 in Northam.Becoming partner in 2007, I was by then looking after of a group of tax and business services clients. When an opportunity arose to take over and grow our audit department I jumped at the chance. This now allows me to work with mainly charities and not-for-profit entities looking to make a difference in the wider community. While I have moved to Perth in recent years to better perform my role, I believe my roots provide me with a deep understanding of the challenges and mindset of country business people, allowing for strong partnerships to achieve a smooth audit process. Honesty, loyalty, and really listening to gain understanding are very important values for me.I am a Certified Practicing Accountant, Registered Company Auditor and Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors working with WA not-for-profits typically in the areas of health, education, social services and aged care, as well as Aboriginal corporations and SMSFs.I am proud to lead a strong team of good people in audit at Audit Partners Australia who are always accessible to our clients. Along the way I married Darren and have had four children: Georgia, Jackson and twin boys Alex and Lucas. This has taught me a lot about what it is to be a woman in business juggling a full life and family!
