Teaching is my passion and my mission. I have been teaching elementary school for over a decade, both in the US and abroad, and I love creating a safe, engaging, and equitable learning environment for my students. I have a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language, and I also teach ESOL to adult learners at Portland Community College.At Hillsboro School District, I teach sixth grade to a diverse and creative group of students. We work on striving to be our best selves, taking accountability in our own learning, and embracing mistakes as opportunities to grow. I design activities and assessments that are appropriate for different levels of English proficiency, and I communicate and collaborate with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and success. I also provide teacher training and curriculum development for the ESOL program at PCC, where I help adult learners improve their language skills and achieve their personal and professional goals.
