I worked and trained in the digital die/repro department of Hallmark cards. Whilst working for Hallmark I worked in a team of digital die creators, working to strict deadlines, and ensuring I check my work thoroughly for quality control. I have a vast knowledge in the processes needed to create finishes for greetings cards. I moved on to Printcraft Ltd where I helped to set up the first in house digital die department at the company. Since working at Printcraft Ltd I have developed my role and shown a willingness to take on new skills. I am a team player and a fast learner, picking up the skills to be a repro operator within a couple of months. I now run the repro department as well as the digital die department and support another colleague with their role as a flitter operator. I am very organised and ensure all my work is up to the highest standard so that others can complete their jobs and the company don’t have wastage or lose production time. I do this by completing work as soon as I get it, organise the importance of jobs that come in, for my co-worker and myself, and being agile enough to complete jobs that are time critical. I am confident enough to organise not only my own job role but also the job role of others. As well as greeting cards I have also worked on some packaging design for third parties.
