Put simply, I grow and transform organisations by focusing on People (culture) and Numbers (financial sustainability). It's more complicated than that behind the scenes, but I'm skilled at pairing these two strategies and making it look easy. The glue that brings it together is my high emotional intelligence, strategic mind and passion for quality leadership. I drive growth and performance improvement through a strategic vision, embedding financial sustainability measures and leveraging innovative technologies. I focus on long-term success, build strong stakeholder relationships and implement strategies that deliver measurable results. My ability to navigate complexity with high emotional intelligence ensures organisations and their stakeholders thrive operationally, culturally and financially. As a Chartered Accountant, former auditor and CEO, I’ve seen firsthand how short-term financial decisions can undermine long-term performance. For example, poor budgeting and strategy execution can cause expenditures to spiral, impacting sustainability. I’ve led financial transformations that optimise expenditure, reduce waste, and enhance profitability—resulting in sustainable, long-term growth. But, I'm not your typical accountant. I'm high energy, extroverted and thrive on a good challenge or goal. Yet, I balance these attributes with empathy, an ability to consider a diverse and vast array of lenses and apply my energy in thoughtful and meaningful ways. It's not just emotional intelligence, it's foresight, years of executive experience, and being politically savvy and passionate about my job that delivers results. Plus, there's two more ingredients - purpose and belonging. Workplaces can and should be places where people find purpose and belonging. When an organisation integrates these elements with empowerment and accountability, it excels. I’m deeply passionate about quality leadership and mentoring aspiring women leaders. Outside of work, you’ll often find me road or mountain bike racing, camping, enjoying the outdoors, or spending time with my husband and our three wonderful kids.If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear what sparked your interest. I’m energised by connecting with others, so don’t hesitate to reach out and start a conversation.#transformation #leadership #culture #finance #performanceimprovement #EQ #visionary

Board MemberBinary Shift Feb 2020 - Sep 2020Victoria, AuI joined the Board of Binary Shift early in 2020 to offer my strategic leadership and governance experience. With plans for a physical conference being thrown out the window due to COVID19, supporting Binary Shift to pivot and provide an innovative online event was essential. Partnering with Pirate TV to deliver an interactive virtual event where the audience shapes the content is truely exciting. More importantly offering an online event creates far greater opportunities for regional businesses, startups and leaders to participate from across Australia and the world. From COVID to climate change, sustainability to economic development, and energy to agriculture, Binary Shift is tackling the biggest challenges facing regions across the globe. -
ChairSwift Library Consortium Mar 2017 - Jun 2019I was elected Chair of the Consortium at my first meeting because of my strong governance and financial services experience and the need to drive a transformation program. The SWIFT Consortium entered a significant transformation period in 2017 as it reassessed its governance model and opportunities to work with Local Government Victoria to progress the ‘one system’ goal for Victorian Libraries. As Chair of the SWIFT consortium and in collaboration with the Management Committee, we navigated Swift through a challenging transition to transfer its ownership to Public Libraries Victoria. This was an important change that will help ensure its sustainability and capitalise on future opportunities to collaborate in the Victorian library sector. The SWIFT Library Consortium is a co-operative network of public, school and TAFE libraries across Victoria and NSW. Member libraries share a catalogue and Library Management System operating in a managed services environment.

Manager Corporate ServicesAlpine Shire Council Aug 2013 - Dec 2016Bright, Victoria, AuIn September 2013, I started at Alpine Shire Council as a Senior Manager. I was also seven months pregnant with my second child. Eight weeks after I started, a new CEO commenced and I took 12 weeks maternity leave before returning to work full time. What followed was the hardest year of my life. I worked closely with the new CEO to embark on a transformational change program. The transformation included delivery of Council’s first Long Term Financial Plan and significant financial overhaul, a major organisational restructure that included a reduction from ten senior managers to six, a voluntary redundancy program that reduced the indoor workforce by 25 per cent and system implementations, a rating strategy review and asset review.I consider this point of my career to be a significant one in shaping how I lead from the opportunity to influence such an innovative change program as a new senior manager. I pushed my own personal limits further than I thought possible, all while juggling a baby, toddler and many sleepless nights. -
Executive Committee MemberAlpine Childrens Services Sep 2013 - Nov 2016I joined the Board of Alpine Children's Services to bring strong financial, management and governance experience to the organisation. My goal for the board was to ensure operations were as efficient as they could be and the longer term strategic direction was always front of mind to ensure a sustainable service beyond my own three children using the centre.
