Be grateful - that is something that has been ingrained in me since I was young. My interest in working with the community began when I took on the leadership roles in secondary school, and during a learning trip to Chiang Mai, Thailand in 2018. These opportunities made me realise that there were many vulnerable communities that were in need of the right support. To better understand the various communities in Singapore, my group members and I embarked on numerous projects with different beneficiaries during the course of my studies at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I continued serving at the Girls' Brigade, my CCA in secondary school after I graduated. This enabled me to mentor younger girls and empathise with youths from different backgrounds. I was also able to hone my public speaking skills during Outreach Talks in the HMS Outreach Team. I am grateful for the opportunities that allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and have fostered my passion for impacting lives. As a driven, adaptable and empathetic individual, I hope to empower others and be a catalyst for change!

I had the privilege to interact with the seniors in the Bukit Panjang region at the Silvercare Centre @ 419 Fajar. I supported the programs and had the opportunity to create my own program where I taught a group of 5 seniors how to plan their own programs for others.

During the 2021 TF SCALE Programme, NP partnered with students from the Vietnam National University (VNU) and Chiang Mai University (CMU). My group members and I got to immerse ourselves in the Vietnamese culture through coffee appreciation workshops and cultural sharings from VNU students. We also worked on a project with VNU students to expound more on.
Serving as the President of the 10th Student Council gave me an opportunity to dive deeper into the needs of the student population and be a bridge between students and school leaders. Planning and overseeing events such as Teachers' Day and Student Council Camps provided a stepping stone for me to hone my leadership skills and mentor trainee councillors.
