QPC (trading as Stockland Park) managed the region's major sports precinct at Kawana on the Sunshine Coast. The precinct covered the Kawana Aquatic Centre, Kawana Skate Park, extensive sports fields including the Stockland Stadium Sunshine Coast, Lake Kawana and foreshore areas. The venue hosts sports competition for Rugby League, Soccer, Rugby Union & Touch Football, GPS Rowing events and is an ideal location for outdoor concerts (Cold Chisel had 14,500 attendees). QPC was a wholly owned company of Sunshine Coast Council that operated independently of Council with intent to maximise the economic and social benefits to the community from the successful growth and operations of the Coast's major sports precinct. In 2013, Sunshine Coast Council decided to change the management structure and wind up the company and integrate the operations within Council's hierarchy. In 2014, Sunshine Coast Council concluded its sponsorship agreement with Stockland and the venue was renamed Kawana Sports Precinct. www.sunshinecoaststadium.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au

Caloundra Tourism Inc was the local tourism organisation driving the growth of tourism in the area of Caloundra City Council. The not for profit association was highly respected and responsible for putting Caloundra on the tourism map, uniting operators under the destination brand, partnering with others to leverage brand awareness and visitor growth, implementing marketing campaigns and influencing consumers. The association voluntarily wound up in August 2010 after amalgamation of the three local governments on the Sunshine Coast into one region and the rebuild of the regional tourism organisation with the funding and responsibility of the previous local tourism organisations. Caloundra Tourism Inc had an overall budget in excess of $1.1million that was mostly spent of destination marketing campaigns, event sponsorship and other initiatives.

In 2000, Tourism Sunshine Coast (now Visit Sunshine Coast) won the Queensland Tourism Award for Best Regional Tourism Organisation. A tremendous accolade for this non profit association delivering outstanding results across tourism leisure marketing, business events development and marketing, Events Sunshine Coast and membership growth and participation. The Association was restructured in 2001 by the new Chairman and mine and other positions were made redundant.
