Career Prospectors is a community volunteer organization that provides professionals in career transition with the opportunity to showcase expertise, learn new skills, and help fellow job seekers.Served on the training team. Taught 40+ social media classes (Google docs, LinkedIn, and Twitter). Founding member of the VAST accountability group.Led the Science & Engineering Roundtable (SERT) during the three different times through Career Prospectors. The SERT 2018/2019 group has 50 members. We organized 7 on-site tours with local companies/agencies and had 4 featured speakers. We are planning an industry networking social in 2019.Our SERT group had 30+ members in 2017 . We organized site tours and networking opportunities. From May 2016-May 2017, we visited 14 local businesses in the consulting/manufacturing/engineering fields, and held three networking socials that individually attracted over 50 science & engineering folks. In January & April, featured speakers shared industry insight. 20 members found jobs in the science & engineering field from May 2016 to May 2017.In 2015, served as the training director. I organized training classes that benefited more than 300 members. Classes were designed to improve online skills in LinkedIn and Twitter. Increased the numbers of classes and participants by over 100% from prior years; served on the leadership team for 2015 RVA Career Expo job fairs, the premier job career fair for the Richmond metropolitan area; co-founded and facilitated the Science and Engineering Round table and the Northside Accountability Group.

• Reviewed 5 years of FDA letters to identify chemical constituents mentioned by the agency for high priority testing. Created a tool for the operating company to quickly sort through 100 chemical constituents to readily determine if testing was previously requested. The tool provided the basis for response extension requests in an efficient and timely manner.• Created infrastructure to have all question set templates completed for internal stakeholders within three days of receipt of the FDA letters.• Developed a template process and a gap analysis plan to reduce the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/C) review time by 5 hours per submission.• Analyzed three years of FDA submission to identify when surrogates were use to make scientific analysis and how to improve the process.• Created Visio diagrams to map business process flow and create procedures to identify redundancy and opportunities for improvement.• Maintained ultra trade secret information in a Citrix environment.

Sage ATC Environmental Consulting provides environmental project management consulting services across the country. Spearheaded environmental permit application and renewal processes for Sage clients and conducted audits for state and federal air, water and solid waste regulatory compliance. • Developed the state's multimedia inspections process covering land, water and air quality.• Created the first integrated inspections process that encompassed solid waste, hazardous waste, pretreatment, storm water, and air compliance during a single site inspection resulting in less disruption to the industry and more efficient delivery of inspection commitments as made by Virginia DEQ to the federal EPA. • Recognized as an extraordinary contributor for comprehensive and detailed inspections and awarded "Above And Beyond"​ for exceeding expectations in developing the multimedia inspections concept.• Reduced regulatory environmental review time requirements by 75%, in collaboration with the federal EPA, to facilitate the sale of a large industrial property within a year; recognized for outstanding teamwork by coordinating federal, state, regional and central office staff.• Successfully completed hazardous waste inspections at over 100 different facilities, including Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities (e.g., DuPont, Safety-Kleen, Honeywell International) and Large Quantity Generators (e.g., AERC, Afton Chemical, Honeywell, Rehrig International, Wako Chemicals). Exceeded DEQ's annual goal for completion of large quantity generators inspections by 100% each year. • Processed 15-20 enforcement cases annually, including EPA on site inspections, and participated in negotiations between EPA and the industrial facilities with 90% of enforcement cases resolved through negotiation.

Ethyl Corporation (now NewMarket Corporation/Afton Chemical) is a Fortune 500 global chemical manufacturer with headquarters in Richmond, VA. As a Product Stewardship Analyst, I responded to technical and regulatory questions from Ethyl customers, business units and research groups worldwide. • Led the US transition team responsible for production of material safety data sheets (SDS) for Ethyl's European market, successfully producing over 300 complex documents that required translation in five languages.• Successfully managed transition of five acquired product lines to meet short deadlines working with key technical resources to understand product lines and minimize redundancies.• Appointed subject matter expert for labeling practices compliance for international product sales in Korea.

Whitby Research, Inc. was a wholly owned subsidiary of Ethyl Corporation until 1994. Whitby became Aderis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. after Ethyl chose to focus primarily on the company's Petroleum Additives business.Established pharmacology HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromotography) laboratory. Developed a HPLC Reverse Phase Methods protocol that was 50% more efficient than previous screening methods for determining a potential drug's ability to be absorbed through the skin.

Developed method for quantification of enzyme involved in cholesterol pathway and discovered novel mechanism for enzymatic activity. Focused on cholesterol exchange, metabolism and bile acid synthesis.
