-Manage all aspects of production for Lasell College’s monthly newspaper publication-Regularly write articles that cater to the (5) sections: A&E, Opinion, News, Sports, and Features-As a section editor, pitch up to (5) original article ideas that are timely and relevant for each issue-Copy edit all articles for each published issue in a timely manner-Create content for the organization’s social media outlets such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to maintain an engaging social media presence while staying up to date with emerging social and digital media trends-Use InDesign to design an original layout for each issue published -Upload a digital version of each issue on our website through WordPress to reach our 550+ online readers

-Create and assign up to 4 opinion article ideas for the monthly issue of Lasell College’s student-run newspaper-Reach out to and contact necessary students and faculty to coordinate interviews -Copyedit all submitted articles for each issue to upload to the InDesign template -Supervise and provide guidance to the staff writers on their writing assignments to ensure productivity-Write and submit articles covering news, sports, opinion, features, or arts and entertainment by a given deadline

-Regularly write 1000+ word feature or opinion articles to be published in the Boston-based fashion and lifestyle magazine

-Cover women’s soccer and/or field hockey by composing (2) game stories a week to be published on athletics.simmons.edu -Run the college’s social media accounts throughout the game with game and score updates-Host on-camera, postgame interviews with players or coaches to be used as digital media content-Write (2) 1200+ word feature profiles on coaches at the institution, one which was published on NCAA.com
