Multifamily rental housing projects consist primarily of vacant land for new construction but may also include existing multifamily assets for acquisition rehabilitation projects.• Correspond and maintain relationships with real estate brokers.• Source potential projects by soliciting property owners to sell their properties.• Inquire with government officials and departments regarding land use policies that wouldpossibly lead to Projects.• Conduct financial feasibility analyses on potential Projects as affordable housing rentalcommunities utilizing low-income housing tax credits ("LIHTC") and “workforce” rentalcommunities and traditional market rate rental communities.• Author Letters of Intent to purchase ("LOIs").• Review purchase and sale agreements ("PSAs") and provide feedback to attorneys andexecutive management regarding PSAs terms and conditions.• Work within a cross disciplinary (development, project finance, construction and propertymanagement) project team environment to analyze projects through due diligence approval,start of construction, project completion and stabilization.• Lead due diligence activities on Projects put under contract.• Oversee title review of Projects to be acquired.• Manage all project proformas from project conceptualization through due diligence approvaland up to hand off to project finance team.• Retain up-to-date knowledge of LIHTC regulations and other affordable housing financingvehicles.• Author correspondence such as memorandums, letters, and emails, to executivemanagement, government officials, and third-parties, pertinent to the development andacquisition of Projects.
