With over 20 years of experience as a legal entrepreneur, I founded and manage Learned Friends Law Chambers, a law firm that offers a range of legal services from civil and corporate litigation, family law, land law, criminal law, estate law and more. I lead a team of dedicated and qualified lawyers who share my vision of providing professional, timely, and satisfactory legal services at all times.I also served as a Vice President for Caribbean OPN at ParlAmericas, an inter-parliamentary network that promotes democratic governance and cooperation in the Americas. In this role, I facilitated dialogue and exchange of best practices among parliamentarians on various topics, such as climate change, gender equality, and human rights. Additionally, I served as a Senator for The Bahamas, where I scrutinized the government’s proposals and offered amendments that reflect good governance and good laws. I am passionate about advancing the interests and welfare of my people, my country and region through law, politics, and activism.
