I compose and perform electronic music, and share with others how they can too. I enjoy helping a new generation of modular synthesizer users in particular master this exciting, potentially intimidating instrument. My approach is based on the idea that once you truly understand how something works, it’s far easier to be creative with it, as you will no longer waste time and become frustrated stumbling over technical issues and misunderstandings. To that end, I have created a set of materials on LearningModular.com that includes a modular synth glossary, informational articles, and online video training courses. I also post on Patreon.com/LearningModular my most recent synthesis explorations and performances. These are aimed at the musician who is new to modular synthesis through advanced users. I am also co-author of the book on modular synthesis, Patch & Tweak.
