A qualified Management Accountant, Lean six sigma black belt trained with a real passion for solving problems. With a career of 20 years in a range of commercial and finance roles in Telecoms and IT companies. Known for commercial acumen, problem solving and analysis, relationship building and strong business partnering skills.A focus on business improvement opportunities in the finance area where $ savings were delivered across black belt, green belt and kaizen style workshop improvement projects. An example of a successful cross-functional lean work stream was in the form of a mapping workshop to the payroll process and the effective follow up program of work to eliminate waste activities as well as working on opportunities to improve the process. As the finance lead for the business process management program of work, we helped all areas of the business to work collaboratively together. Through leading the GM’s and their respective champions from each finance discipline to establish a process hierarchy, assign owners, putting effective KPIs in place and performance reviews in place as well as identifying improvement opportunities, the Finance division was able to attain a process maturity level of 3 – full deployment. I also have a Prince2 project management qualification which has proved beneficial in the delivery of these improvement projects.
