A cinematographer or director of photography (DOP) is the team leader over the camera crew working on a film, television production or other live action piece and is responsible for achieving artistic and technical decisions related to the image. As such I have to choose my collaborators (Camera crew, Key-grip and Gaffer) as well as the most appropriate equipment in relation to the shooting conditions and goals. These goals have been established in close collaboration with the director and producer, in relation to the script (movie) or treatment (commercial, music video).
