Leidy is a Civil/Geotechnical Engineer with experience in consulting and construction. She has been involved in several research projects, including the monitoring, instrumentation, and modelling of sprayed concrete lined tunnels, use of load-controlled pile systems to mitigate differential settlements, and monitoring and numerical modelling for damage assessment on masonry buildings. Leidy has also worked on projects related to the use of remote sensing PS-InSAR for infrastructure monitoring and cultural heritage conservation.Currently, Leidy is contributing to the technical management of the design delivery of the extensive scope for HS2, which includes Earthworks, viaducts, and overbridges along the C23 contract. She provides geotechnical construction support to the delivery teams and supply chain, while also effectively managing technical and commercial risks.In addition, Leidy has taken charge of resolving NCRs, addressing design changes during the construction phase, and reviewing monitoring data to ensure compliance with project requirements. Her contribution extends to planning, executing, and analyzing large-scale field trials, pile tests, and innovation projects related to earthworks, resulting in the successful delivery of innovative and efficient designs. Within her area of responsibility, Leidy led the delivery of the Geotechnical design efficiencies portfolio leading to substantial cost savings and a reduction of CO2 emissions.
