• Key member of the Sapphire legal team overseeing Standard Chartered’s major project of migrating all businesses to a local subsidiary. Responsibilities include but not limited to reviewing, drafting, and executing updated terms of legacy Financial Markets contracts, Novation agreements and Initial Margin Compliant Agreements.• Managing a portfolio of more than 60 clients ranging from Small and Medium Enterprises to Banks and Broker Dealers. Consistently establishing strong relationships with external clients while ensuring the client understands the rationale and repercussions of certain clauses in the agreement. • Providing legal advice to obtain internal stakeholder’s approval for client requested deviations to business, credit and commercial functions in order to protect the bank and maintain business relations with all clients.• Managing client and business expectations on timeline for delivery of executed documents.

• Drafting and negotiating various documents including ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs and GMSLAs for a broad range of clients including Prime clients in Asia-Pacific (including North Asia) in accordance with global templates, processes and regional jurisdiction guidelines. • Participated in the exercise to amend all CSAs to meet margin requirements starting 1 March 2017.• Legal due diligence such as the review of constitutional documents, enforceability, netting and collateral opinions.• Updating and remediating internal databases including but not limited to migrating OSLAs to GMSLAs and ensuring the accuracy of investment managers and their principals.

• Drafting and negotiating various documents including ISDA Master Agreements and CSAs for a broad range of clients including Platinum clients and small and medium sized enterprises in Asia-Pacific in accordance with global templates, processes and regional jurisdiction guidelines. • Analysis, negotiation and resolution of technicalities from various counterparties who have their own provisions included under the Schedule.• Weekly review of ongoing documentation, following up outstanding files and documents escalating to senior legal management if and when required.• Reviewing constitutional documents and performing due diligence reviews for APAC counterparties.
