Growing up in Columbia, I attended Midlands Technical College studying Architectural Engineering Technology with dreams of building my mother a house. After my mother’s passing three months before graduation, I found myself struggling with my passion of designing homes while also taking care of my family. My instructor and degree from Midlands Technical College helped me obtain a position in Design & Engineering at the University of South Carolina. As I worked in my new position, I realized I needed to learn the construction side of the business, not just my skills in drafting and design. It's amazing to look back over the years and see how my journey started and where I am now, Founder, President & CEO at LLE Construction Group, LLC. My passion to understand construction after the design led me on this journey. At LLE, I provide strategic direction for the company and establishes teaming relationships, which has been instrumental in our growth. I am passionate about our role in "Creating, Building, and Maintaining Spaces Where People Learn, Live, Work, and Play." We provide General Contracting (commercial renovations), Facilities Support Services, and Construction and Project Management Services to our clients. We serve as the owner's representative, managing the best interest of their projects. We are passionate about maintaining facilities and ensuring our clients develop a plan to protect the life of the building through safe and proper maintenance. We manage our clients' Capital Improvement projects and budgets and oversee contractors performing the work. There are times we are the contractors performing the work, so we work with excellence to keep our clients' facilities in safe and good repair.

The Business Contract Professional (BCP) class is a specialized course that targets women-owned small businesses, vendors, independent contractors, suppliers, and entrepreneurs. The classes are designed to provide the knowledge to pursue contract/business opportunities with the Federal government, counties, states, municipalities, corporations and private sectors.BCP is a six week, instructor led class with a total of 12 hours of instruction that focuses on processes, research and marketing strategies. The overall goal is to posture women and minority owned business to successfully pursue government contracting opportunities.

Lasenta Lewis-Ellis joined SVN | Blackstream in 2022 as an Associate Advisor and Small Business Specialist with a background in construction and renovations of commercial real estate. She began commercial real estate as an investor in 2014.
