I managed editorial and advertising production of 14 newspapers with teams based at two geographic hubs. This position involved high-level planning, operation leadership as well as identifying special projects to increase revenue streams. Reorganised production structure, moving various teams from five locations to two specialised hubs. I project managed and headed up key projects focusing on product development and enhancements (including launching new titles and redesigning publications).

I managed a production team responsible for producing a number of publications. This role included product development, managing of budgets and entailed the redesign of existing publications. I also managed the transition of the team to new design software, which included training and mentorship.

Editorial and publishing roles were combined in this role. The focus was to create native content by planning and publishing supplements and magazines to draw in additional sales revenues to supplement existing advertising revenue from the main newspapers.

I assisted in the launch of this publication and managed the operation to produce daily quality content.

Designed news and leisure pages with flair to ensure publication engaged readers, with the use of graphic designs and engaging headlines, as well as image and text use.

Copy tasted, edited and helped layout the news edition of the newspaper, working evening hours until midnight to produce the very latest breaking news.
