About Leda Davies

A strong communicator, collaborative leader, and community builder with a developed and versatile administrative support skill set. Known for my enthusiasm, and compassion I take pride in going above and beyond when it comes to supporting customers. As a university instructor I have applied my written and verbal communication skills, active listening, creativity and problem-solving, assisting over 100 students set and reach their goals. Whether in front of the camera, in-person, online or behind the scenes, I thrive on making connections and telling stories. As an actor and circus artist I have written and performed scripts, diving head-first into a wide range of situations with confidence and curiosity; not to mention, honing the ability to function independently and cooperatively in a team setting. My passion and experience in developing cultural experiences on a variety of scales, is proven through my project Persephone Bound. Inspired by the #MeToo movement, Persephone Bound is a performance that blends theatre, dance and aerial circus to have a dialogue with young people about sexual consent. I led all the aspects of this project including creating content, fundraising, scheduling volunteers, completing payroll, liaising with facility operations, and actively building relationships with over 12 key community partners to strengthen the customer experience.I am committed to an ongoing learning of indigenous, black and people of colour’s practices and building relationships with diverse cultural communities. I strive to continue to decolonize my practices and include approaches of BIPOC people in my teaching and audience engagement.
