I support international movements for successful and accessible science education and workforce development, particularly in the formation of scientists and STEM innovators. The primary point of view my work focuses on is science research experiences. I founded Tanim Talino (tanimtalino.org), a youth-led Filipino not-for-profit initiative, to offer direct assistance to high school students pursuing STEM research and development as a curricular requirement. As part of this work, I am interested in examining educational structures that allow successful science research experiences in high schools, and aim to empower young learners to become active participants in research, innovation, and education. I now aim to develop a pedagogy for science research (including instruments, learning theory, policy, and institutional scaffolds) to formalize the evidence base for research education at multiple levels across the world.Co-chair of the AI, Digital Learning & Digital Transformation working group of UNESCO's SDG4 Youth & Student Network.
