Asterwind is a French company based in Shanghai. It was established in 2005 and started as a business consulting company. International Tutor is a new business unit set up in 2016, building a bridge between foreigners and Chinese host families. Most of Chinese host families have kids 3-15 years old and study in international or bilingual schools or kindergarten, but they don’t have English environment at home. We introduce foreigners to be their home tutor, and live together with them. We are different with homestay or Au Pair, and we don’t charge any agency fee to home tutors, and no house work needed. Furthermore we give training to both parties about different culture and educational method, and follow up, help them when needed. Except introducing home tutors to the host family, our consultants who have experience in international or bilingual schools or kindergarte will give training to the home tutors, and help to understand the materials, educational way etc in the school or kindergarten, communicate with parents to understand their expectation, coach the home tutors to find out where and how to help their kids to improve English and other area. Moreover we are trying to develop courses which could help their kids more than English itself.
