Concentrating mainly on Bidvest’s Non Food business, my role as NAM was to manage contracts within the Corporate sector. I managed the MOJ prisons contract and the ISS facilities management company contract supplying ranges of chemicals; janitorial; hygiene and disposable products. Prior to this I managed Elior and was the Non Food National Account Manager for Bidvest’s largest contract, Compass. My role has been diverse, acting as the key point of contact between Bidvest and its customers and suppliers which requires cross working with many different departments both internally and externally as well as extensive liaison with end user sites and clients. The role is to build relationships with customers/clients to improve their businesses and deliver their targets as well as mine. My KPI’s included P&L analysis and reporting; service level management and reporting; periodic review meetings both internally and externally; product management including client tailored bespoke NPD projects; business tenders and price reviews. I was also responsible for working alongside credit control teams to manage invoice queries and aged debt. Outside of my day to day responsibilities I also held a key role in the development of the non food offering following its rapid growth from 2006.

I started with Pizza Hut as a Kitchen Supervisor and was promoted to Restaurant Manager after three years. I was responsible for several high profile openings including two flag ship restaurants, where I managed the opening process including recruitment, marketing, budget forecasting, training and health and safety. I also held the liquor licence for both units. When Pizza Hut acquired Pizza Land in 1997 I was part of the team responsible for training and integrating 45 Pizza Land managers and 250 staff.
