I designed owned & ran a small lighting shop concurrently as Director of Laser Electrical Launcestonusing my previous knowledge of working in a retail Photographic shop & business skills & creative flair Initially I travelled to Melbourne to a retail & gift fair to gain insight into products & meet prospective suppliers. I introduced the first LED lights & globes into the Launceston market & had some success with larger lighting jobs notably one requiring a range of LED solutions for a retired couple with a double storey heritage home including model train room & exterior LED floodlighting - The flow on effect to the electrical business provided some interesting larger jobs -Sadly due to the move to new premises the shop was closed.However some of my lighting ideas& fittings were used in the new Laser Launceston office.
