I would not label myself a Geophysical genius, but in saying that it is a great job and i enjoy been a part of this small idiosyncratic eclectic branch of forward thinking mineral seekers and at least they dont lick rocks...yet. While not been a genius I am however competent enough to run 3 crews in the field and have the logistical skills to set up, supply and complete surveys both domestically and internationally.Can recruit and train long term staff, repair electronics in the field and maintain strong relations with team members as well as maintaining all plant equipment and communications with client and office.Current role is at Southern Geoscience as a Crew Leader..Am a sociable sort of a chap a cool head in the field and prefer stability in a workforce rather than a revolving door company.Have travelled extensively for the last 37 years and probably wont stop now, am currently in Asia cooking bad thai food, setting fire to my stomach regularly with large portions of chilli, eating bugs, crickets and the odd frog, consuming far too much cheap beer and assorted fermented products and pondering a return to the workforce in Sept.Prefer work on ABN as a subcontractor.
