My initial role was undefined as we were putting together the logistical application in order to acquire the predator monitoring programme for TBfree New Zealand. So I have been instrumental in the Project Management on all levels, starting with working through all of the strict requirements and meeting tight deadlines, to meeting the training requirements to get Operatives ready for the Field. My position has now evolved into Operations management, a position that I really enjoy and find myself exceptionally good at. I love working with Key stakeholders, managing teams of people and balancing the heavy workload with tight schedules. I find it very satisfyingly to be able to knit all of the threads into a smooth running operation.

This role required me to go out to sea and a variety of fishing vessels of various Nationalities. My role involved multiple tasks including independent catch assessment, Biological sampling, Fish species, marine mammal and marine bird species identification (often from a distance and through binoculars. I was required to record a broad spectrum of environmental data such as Weather, Beaufort, health and safety, and employment issues.
