I also carry out the pricing of works/BoQ's on the site, from information obtained from drawings and specifications supplied by the client, also designing works required by the client and pricing accordingly, then sourcing of materials, ensuring accurate records are kept and QA data is collated.I liaise daily with different members of the client's management team and control the majority of permits used on the site. I attend HSE and daily coordination meetings, relating relevant information back to the workforce.Duties Including* Production of all method statements and risk assessments for all elements of works* General management of workforce and work loads* Carrying out COSHH assessments for all chemical based substances brought onto site for the company* Liaising with the client and attending HSE & daily coordination meetings* Ordering of materials and consumables complying with clients requirements* Ensuring records are kept of all documentation transmitted to the client and all deliveries of materials to site* Compiling hours and materials used to day work sheets and obtaining clients signatures* Production of permit requests and all relevant information relevant to intended works* Pricing of works* Production of AutoCAD Drawings and details Show less

Started work with Austwel on the South Hook LNG Project. I was moved to the Waterston Petroplus site, taking on an engineering role, due to previous experience with the local government. Working on the new Dragon LNG site/ Petroplus tank storage facility, I developed my surveying skills further. I was then moved to the Murco Refinery, based as site engineer. My work involved setting out of structural bases & holding down bolts, positioning of high voltage cable ducting, cables & underground services. Record keeping, QA documents, & completing as built drawings using AutoCAD, forming part of the handover pack for the project.Also involved in the T&I and MEX update of the plant, an £80m Project. Supervising as well as continuing with my engineering role. Carrying out surveys of tie in points for equipment eg; reheaters, exchangers, pumps, electrical instrumentation. Setting levels/grid lines for the installation of structures up to 30m in height.Duties * Installation of horizontal & vertical alignment of steel structures, checking verticality of structures (using theodolite)* Installation of level control for all construction activities.* Ensuring all activities comply with contract specification * Updating contract documents, drawing register, onsite testing and inspection etc* Compiling a concise & comprehensive site diary * Material procurement inline with contract specification* Compiling Method Statements & Risk Assessments* Compiling and delivering task briefing and tool box talks More recently involved in the facilities management at Chevron Refinery, planning & organizing the logistics, accommodation & supply of other facilities relating to turnarounds/shutdowns. Contacting the relevant operatives and delegating the work.After a short time I was put in control of the maintenance of all public buildings within the county, eg, schools, libraries, council controlled offices, leisure centers, etc. making sure the necessary works were carried out within specified times and deadlines.I applied internally for a technician's position within the planning department of County Hall. There I used AutoCAD extensively, producing construction drawings and design details for amendments and upgrades to existing road layouts, parking areas, public walkways and pavements, I also redesigned one of the Tenby Gardens. Here I started to use my qualifications I had gained at Pembrokeshire College and developed a good basis and feel for the design process.Duties Included* Site visits for collection of data such as; photographs, measurements, levels, to enable production of construction drawings, re: renewal or redevelopment of existing structures, byways and highways.* Creation of design elements and construction drawings using AutoCAD.* Placement of temporary electronic traffic counting systems throughout the county and collecting the data for analysis.* Arranging and supervising operatives carrying out physical traffic counting operations around the county.* Control of various office filing systems, and keeping them updated.
