Leading a team of 11 aircraft maintenance engineers to carry out planned zonal maintenance with my responsibilities including conducting independents inspections and scoping individuals areas for thorough checks. A subject matter expert in my field, providing diverse solutions to often complex problems within aviation mechanical engineering.I frequently communicate strategy to senior executives, customers, stakeholders and industry leaders; building necessary relationships in order to gain valued engineering support, buy-in and sign off in order to maintain operational performance and meet airworthiness standards. I am ever willing to remain on-call to diagnose system faults and reduce pinch points within my department, thus uplifting the operational output for aircraft leaving the maintenance cycle and returning to full flight capability on time and within budget. Managing large teams of engineering technicians on a daily basis, supervising where required, to maintain and promote operational effectiveness, airworthiness, continual improvement and a safe working environment of all staff working within my remit. Within this role I investigate major system faults, identify and interrogate fault reports raised against each associated component to establish root cause anomalies and analyse safe systems of work to ensure robust enough for to mitigate associated risk factors. Acting as lead governance on rectifications and ensuring the responsible delegation of further fault analysis is carried out; this often involves external agencies as required to suit the needs of the organisation, reducing pinch points and extrapolating pertinent information from faults found to inform CEOs and allow for informed decisions to be made.

Within this role I often worked extended hours to accommodate the full rectification of aircraft and their components parts, while adhering to operating procedures, H&S legislation and risk assessments to conduct maintenance activities. Fully conversant in a varied array of mechanical rectification and preventative maintenance principles across a broad spectrum of aviation assets with demonstrable proven capability to supervise and manage all arising issues in a high tempo and MAOS 145 governed role. Carry out all aspects of fault diagnosis and fault rectification, coupled with in-depth preventative maintenance and scheduled servicings of complex systems, sub systems, aircraft and specialist tools, including RB199, fuel, hydraulics, starting, air-flow control, air-to-air re-fuelling and associated control systems.At the forefront of engineering on my shift, I am always in contact with external agencies and engineering design authorities to resolve any further rectification of aircraft systems, which can lead to the to the Full Service Embodiment process of aircraft parts to enhance their effectiveness. I am also responsible for raising and enforcing Risk and COSHH Assessments applicable to the working environment, ensuring all relevant H&S measures were taken to reduce elements of risk and provide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment required for carrying out maintenance activities.
