I conducted collaborative R&D with a variety of companies and national labs. These resulted in several patents and two R&D 100 awards. These were for Fractal Fiberoptics (one of the first engineered fractal macromaterials) and Low Noise Microchannel Plates (in collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysics Observatory).
