As a Resourcer my primary function is to search, identify and contact potential candidates for roles using various job boards and networking tools. I work closely with the Permanent team although primarily providing support to the Permanent Manager. I liaise with clients both in a sales capacity and to gain knowledge and understanding of the business requirements while building a business relationship with them. I initiate communication with potential candidates, so enabling us to gain a better understanding of their experience and to advise them on their job search. I advertise all our live vacancies on job boards and social media, ensuring these are up-to-date at all times so attracting relevant candidates with the correct specifications. I undertake ad hoc research on behalf of consultants for roles that are industry specific and through various job boards and searches I advise consultants of available jobs and candidates. I provide all round office support as required, making sure that the rest of the team can work effectively, knowing that CV’s are formatted to company standards, background checks are all in place and that the database is kept updated. In addition to my recruitment work I ensure that we are compliant with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)I also attend recruitment events and open days in conjunction with local colleges and employment service offices.

Tony Backhurst Scuba Travel is the UK’s leading Dive Tour Operator specialising in Worldwide Scuba holidays. I manage the sales team and relationships with our Recommended Dive Centres (RDC”S) while working closely with the Directors developing strategies to move the company forward. I regularly visit RDC’s delivering presentations on new destinations, establishing loyalty and resolving any issues they have experienced. The nature of my role means I have to be flexible as anything can happen at any time of the day (or night!) when dealing with airlines, suppliers and guests. I work closely with the Customer Service team and assist in providing a satisfactory resolution to any complaints.I regularly attend Travel Shows and Exhibitions representing and promoting the company and the services we provide.

Harris Lord Recruitment is an independent agency, based in Horsham. My position enabled me to develop and expand on the skills gained from my previous role at Reed. I was part of a successful team of consultants, our responsibilities included running our own desks and making our own decisions on how to enhance business opportunities to the best potential, whether through established clients or by winning new business. This was a demanding role often including weekends and evenings, most recently I was responsible for the industrial and catering division, this involved being on call and resolving any problems as they arose.
