I am currently attending a Level 3 Diploma in gas utilisation course to become a gas engineer once I leave the army on the 16th November 17, when I will relocate to the Greater Manchester area with my family. I will be qualified and on the gas safe register by this time. I have enjoyed a long and successful career in the military where I have learnt many different skills and I am eager to learn more in my next job role. Due to family stability I have decided for a new chapter for us and the gas industry is one that excites me. I have the ideal attitude and skillset to be an asset to any employer. I am proven to be calm under extreme pressure, I thrive in problem solving situations and I always stop and think before I take action. I am a quick learner and a hands-on person who is drilled in working to procedures, however I still have the ability to make decisions when the opportunity arises. From a customer’s point of view, I would be extremely helpful and will strive to give them the best service possible. I believe in doing any job to a high and articulate standard with a sense of pride for my work.

Section CommanderInfantry Training Centre Para 2015 - PresentCatterick GarrisonThis role involves leading and instructing recruits in a series of different subjects. Some of these include the values and standards upheld by The British Army, personal administration, map reading, weapons training and tactical soldiering on operations and during training. There is a requirement to write reports on each individual on a weekly basis to enable their progress to be tracked and to provide continuous performance feedback to the recruits. The position involves selecting, mentoring and developing recruits to turn them from inexperienced civilians into elite Parachute Regiment soldiers. The Parachute Regiment generally selects only the top 10% of the performers and so this role selects and develops high performing teams.
