Project management of portfolio of I.T. Infrastructure Projects.Key projects include:P2V Programme:Programme of work to virtualise a large percentage of the server estate (300 servers). Several technologies involved including VMWARE, Windows, Linux, Citrix and Active Directory. Responsible for entire lifecycle from discovery, schedule, migration, testing and acceptance back into BAU support. Involved creation of processes and templates as virtualisation was new to account.G3 Server Migration project:Refresh end of life hardware ~ 100 servers. Responsible for installation of replacement hardware into ~15 multiple locations. Configuration of networking, storage and server install. Coordination of testing and migration activities involving both internal lines of service (DBA, WME, Wintel, Storage, Networks) and 3rd party application support through to hand-back to BAU after successful migration.Application Refresh project:Project to design, install, configure and test new infrastructure to facilitate the upgrade of ~50 application servers from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003. Infrastructure located across 11 different locations, responsible for coordination of both internal and 3rd party resources.BES Upgrade project:Upgrade of Blackberry Enterprise Server solution from v4.1 to v5.0. Included upgrade of hardware from physical to virtual servers. Oversaw provision of new virtual hardware and install and configuration of BES v5.0 application. Coordination of CSC and O2 resources through UAT and pilot migration through to complete migration of 9000 users from existing hardware onto the new solutionCitrix Rationalisation:Responsible for re-distribution of 193 applications across estate

PMO functions to facilitate project delivery for Department of Health Account.While in this role I took it upon myself to redesign account templates utilising macros in order to automate several labour intensive manual tasks which helped to streamline processes and produce cost savings.

Day to day activities included performing server builds (both physical and virtual using VMware), clustering of windows servers and resolving monitoring issues.Monitoring of backup estate and ad-hoc issue resolution to meet backup SLA's.Responsible for creating and maintaining standardized documentation used company-wide for server build process. During this period I also led the project to improve account process for bringing servers into BAU support.
