Keeping inventories low but ensuring we always have enough stock to manage changes in factory manufacturing priorities. Also ensuring our distribution centres in each state have adequate supplies of drums so that deliveries to the customers were not interrupted. This involves ordering external supply and delivery to the DC, making drums locally and arranging transport to the DC and also organising collection of empty drums from customers with delivery back to the DC.o Intercompany Planning Manager: forecasting finished cable requirements for Prysmian Power, Telecom and Prysmian NZ with are bought in from external suppliers, negotiating pricing, comparing production vs buy in costs, placing purchase orders, both locally and internationally, following up delivery with suppliers and freight forwarders, and arranging freight from EXW to DAP depending on the supplier incoterms. Also arranging currency hedges for foreign orders.o Logistics Analyst: Reporting and analysing logistics costs for Prysmian Australia and flagging any variances or issues. Putting together and implementing cost saving ideas and efficiencies. Checking off and approving supplier invoices and working with 3PL warehouse/Transport Company, checking costs and putting together weekly reverse billing invoices.
