Since starting with Parsons in 2017 I have been working on designing new Oil and Gas facilities for many different clients such as Chevron, CRC, Sentinel Peak, and Dow Chemical among others. Utilizing Cadworx Plant 3D, AutoCAD Plant, and Aveva E3D. Came in as an "On Call" designer in December to work 3 Chevron Kern River projects. Finished up at the end of February, now currently waiting to be called in while looking for other full time opportunities.

As the Cad Department Manager, I oversaw a team of 4 Cad Detailers in the Bakersfield office, and 4 more Cad Detailers in the San Diego office. We worked on Design Build projects to install plumbing systems in commercial applications for clients that range from government & military contracts, hospitals, airports, and a variety of other big name retailers.•Attend BIM design Build coordination meetings.•Utilize AutoCAD MEP, and Navisworks Manage•Oversee the entire Cad Department, ensuring fab shop drawing deliverable's are on-time and accurate.•Use Navisworks to generate Clash detection models•Generate better company drafting standards to speed up the flow, and accuracy of project deliverables

As a Seconded Piping Designer, I led a team of 5 Piping Designers, and 3 Cad Drafters on the New Construction team, generating all drawings necessary for field construction. Projects ranged from high pressure & temp Steam Distribution, Production Gauging sites, to in plant equipment and piping modifications for oil, water, & gas systems. We also worked closely with other disciplines such as Electrical, Automations, Civil & Structural to ensure proper constructability for the entire job site.•Work Closely with Field Engineers to create construction packages for all internal project needs for the Chevron Kern River Construction Technical Team.•Supervise and lead a team of Designers & Drafters to ensure workloads are evenly distributed amongst the group as well as train, instruct, and QA/QC their work.•Update field well & system maps using AutoCAD and ArcGIS. Implemented the use of creating shape files within AutoCAD for easy metadata creation and export capabilities to ArcGIS.•Maintain and create Design/Drafting standards & training in support of Chevron San Joaquin Valley Business Unit, as well as setup & support Chevron AutoCAD toolbars, macro's, blocks, network user workspaces etc. Providing technical AutoCAD & standards support to user community.•Use various document archiving software for the storage of master drawing sets, such as administrating and using the FE Drawing Database as well as maintaining and inputting correct drawing metadata, and restructuring, organizing, and implementing a new drawing folder structure to better utilize work in progress drawings for project work.•Specializing in 3D modeling with the use of CadWorx Plant Professional software package to more productively create drawings, as well as presentation videos for pre-construction walk-through, with the ability to export straight to Caesar Pipe stress Analysis. Assist in the preparation of all aspects of Design & Drafting, including technical illustrations, mechanical and industrial drafting, design applications and Computer Assisted Design.•Field knowledge including - as-building, on-site design support, as well as produce deliverables for client walk-through review meetings.•Prepare mechanical construction packages with a full working knowledge on how to create the following drawings: PFD's, P&ID's, Plot & Piping plans, Equipment drawings including Tank Appurtenances & Vessel fabrication drawings with nozzle charts, Isometrics, Piping details & sections, Foundation location plans etc.•Streamlined the use of CadWorx Plant within the company for project work, leading to utilizing the ability to export to Ceasar stress analysis, saving time and money needing an engineer to create a model from scratch.•Watch & maintain small design project budgets with weekly project controls scheduling meetings for client reporting.•Manage and instruct drafting resources for project work, align and communicate resource needs for acquiring work from Civil/Structural as well as Electrical & Instrumentation teams.•Participate in safety orientation training classes when available such as, Behavioral Based Survey's, Commentary Drive, oil & gas Passport training, as well as all needed client safety training.•Use document control procedures for properly archiving client drawings for record keeping purposes.
