Community Executive
CurrentThe Rangers Charity Foundation is a recognised SQA Centre with nearly 400 candidates being accredited each year. Within my role as Community Executive I am responsible for:• Internal verification and the evaluation of course programmes including report writing • Ensure the SQA quality assurance principles (VARCS) are being adhered too.• Teach and assess various groups from senior phase school pupils, 16+ and adults • Facilitate SQA Standardisation meetings • Ensure all internal assessment policies and procedures including arrangements for re-assessment, authenticating evidence and health and safety protocols are up to date and maintained.• Prepare progress reports• Deliver various SQA awards – Steps to Work, Skills for Work, Employability Award up to National 5 level• Deliver course information sessions within schools• Implement assessor observation reports• Aid in delivery of other community based Foundation programmes (Cashback for Communities, Towards Better Futures, Princess Trust)• Organise and deliver hospitality specific programmes in partnership with The Scotsman Group, allowing candidates to obtain employment in the sector, as well as industry specific qualifications.• Experience working closely with DWP/ Job Centre Plus work coaches for specific employability programmes, contacting industry partners to allow vocational visits, as well as employment and further education opportunities.
