My Division of MDOT assist Towns, Cities, Counties, ans Villages through the Federal Aid process. We provide oversight of the federal funds that are awarded to these municipalities. We are also involved in each step of their project, from activation to close out, to make sure that all federal guidelines are met.

Jackson, Mississippi Area

• Representing the District construction program to the State Construction Engineer.
• Coordinating Central office design staff and consultant design staff to achieve constructible results in the field through a series of meetings and design reviews.
• Acting to resolve construction conflicts between Contractors and District personnel while communicating proper project management to the four Project Engineers and District Construction Engineer and Assistants.
• Preparing, checking, and coordinating contract proposals, specifications, and plans for bidding of projects. This position serves as the final check of all work going to bid as well as being involved in the decisions.
• Letting to bid, approximately 25 projects per year, ranging from $1 to $50 million contract value.
• Evaluating Contractor Supplemental Agreements for price conformance to market conditions.

- oversaw the construction of (2) Interstate I-269 grading, and bridge construction projects. - oversaw the reconstruction of US 78 for approximately 16 miles. - has oversight of approximately 25 employees at the project office, consisting of administration, clerical, and inspection staff. - oversaw inspection of several bridge replacement and overlay.

Responsible for aiding Project Engineer in the development of preliminary surveys, managed pay items and ensured projects that I was assigned to were built to state standards and specifications.
