I was employed to help start a whole new entity from scratch for China Merchants Securities, who wished to start a company in the UK and offer their clients a service of trading and hedging their business interests on Global exchanges.Their main business was to be focused around the London Metal Exchange and the Intercontinental Exchange. Since I started we have successfully obtained membership on both exchanges, and have a good solid portfolio of clients trading. Since then I have also built a middle office system to allow our clients to trade on Asian and US markets.Responsibilities for the startup:: Complete and return all exchange membership and questionnaire documents.: Build a trade flow system from Front to Back office for all trade capture.: To successfully complete all mandatory exchange testing for membership approval.: To test and automate all required regulatory reporting.: To build an exchange and cash reconciliation procedure.Responsibilities: LME, ICE, CME Exchange.: Trade / Position / Cash reconciliations.: Regulatory Reporting. Emir, Mifid & FCA.: Position Closeouts.: Cash Management / Margin call payments/ Risk.: Break Management.: Top day and TD+1 Clearing of all trades.: Expiries and Deliveries.: Client on Boarding.: Egus Give-up agreements.: Client services.: Produce daily client commission and P&L reports.: Monitoring client position limits.: Static data Control.: New projects / System testing.

Responsibilities:: Part of the robust metals ops team dealing with execution and clearing business.: To improve the companies manual processes and create an automated straight through process.: To test new exchange systems and upgrades, new contracts and fees.: Match and clear all Lme trades both in the office and on the exchange.: Daily position reconciliations.: Monitor member transactions and ensure they are matched within the strict time constraints. : Produce and send client confirmations.: Deal and resolve all client related queries.
