Represented the casegoods and upholstery divisions of Bassett Furniture Ind. in Virginia and Maryland.

Responsible for $45 million division with over 215 retail locations. Developed a system of dedicated furniture dealers to sell and promote the Bassett product through our gallery program. Conducting on site program presentations. Managed sales/ service staff of eight including the Gallery Interior Design Dept. Created and approved advertising programs for the galleries. Developed stocking programs for merchandise from all divisions. Coordinated efforts to grow the gallery program with over 350 sales representatives. Reporting directly to Bassett's Executive V.P. of Sales/Marketing.

Casegoods Division Manager responsible for 40 salesmen in 14 states with over 3900 accounts. Rebuilt and trained a sales/service staff. Worked with the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing in the design of new products, marketing programs, and inventory control. Responsible for all of the major accounts in the region, including advertising and stocking programs. Hired and trained new sales representatives to rebuild three territories.

Account manager for the multiple gallery division accounts for Bassett Furniture Industries. Eventually transitioned into the role of Assistant Gallery Director.

Worked in retail sales for Heilig Meyers Furniture until graduation from college. Moved into management training program, then into credit managers position.
